DENIM SHIRT DRESS

20/03/2017

SHIRT - RIVERISLAND | BOOTS - PRIMARK | CHOKER - PRIMARK

Maybe I've been stalking the kardashian's instagrams, but this look is right up my street at the moment. As soon as my eyes fell on this shirt I instantly put it together in my head with some thigh high boots. It's been a go-to look for be recently as you can really dress it up or down. A denim shirt is a classic piece that everyone female, or male needs in their wardrobe.

THE CORSET BELT

16/03/2017

TOP - H&M | JEANS - RIVERISLAND (MOLLY) | SHOES - PUBLIC DESIRE | BELT - RIVERISLAND | JACKET - MISSGUIDED (OLD)

oh la la, look at me with my waist on show. I have to admit I was a little shocked at the waist I'd been hiding under all my oversized clothing. For a while now I've been on the hunt for a corset belt. I love the whole look around the trend. from styling it up with a basic tee to a dress pulled in. I haven't seen a lot of girls styling the band tee however when I thought I'd trial the look I was in love. I'm a big fan of my 80's/70's band tee's and I'm forever dressing them up and down. The corset belt is a great way to dress up your outfit and really flatter your body. I got this one from work as it was returned, it's not online but do look in store! it's retail price is £18. Below I've attached some similar ones.

GLAUCOMA WEEK 2017

15/03/2017

Right guys, so today I thought I’d break away from my usual chit chat about pretty shoes and todays outfits and talk about something a bit closer to home. I've been approached by NRS Healthcare to talk about Glaucoma in support of Glaucoma week 2017. With Glaucoma being in my family it would be a great way for me to share the word on the guide that has been put together by the guys at NRS Healthcare.
Over 300,000 people are expected to be living with undetected Glaucoma in the UK. Which is why I think it's so important to get the word out so you can spot it sooner rather than later. Men are 16% more likely to gain serious sight loss. Glaucoma can really happen to anyone, at any time is doesn't matter your age or your health. The way I look at it sight is such a precious object in our life. Like to not be able to see your loved ones again, to not be in control of where you're walking and your safety. it really takes away all your independence in one go.

The guys at NRS Healthcare also did a interview with 81 year old Beatrice about her expensive with Glaucoma which is a serious read. "A positive attitude is especially important when you’re older. You’ve got to get out there and look after yourself.”

TEN THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY.

13/03/2017

I was reading a post earlier this week (sorry I forgot who) and it was such a simple post listing all the things that bring a little bit of happiness to their life. So here we go let's spread a bit of positivity!

1. Bangers & Mash. I'm common as muck and this traditional meal is a classic to make me smile.
2. Black Ankle Boots. I'm a complete crazy woman when it comes to black ankle boots, I want them all!
3. Cactus. #so #tumblr #so #pintrest
4. My boyfriend. He does my head in but he's funny and does a cracking  Australian accent at maccies drive thru.
5. Instagram. I love the hashtags and all the filters.
6. Dogs. It doesn't matter where I am if I see a dog I'm gone.
7. Zac Efron. Since 2006 he's been my crush that's not changing any time soon.
8. Pretty Nails. I love getting my nails done and feeling all girly and pretty.
9. Good Make up days. Hey when it goes right it's worth a smile.
10. My Dog. coming home and her running to me is the best feeling in the world.

recently I've really been leaning for my flats. I've always been about wearing heels all the time. Whether it's a heeled boot, or a girly heel. But you really can't beat a relaxed loafer, or a slider to 'cas' up a outfit.

MY GO TO BEAUTY PRODUCTS

22/02/2017

ESTEE LAUDER - DOUBLE WEAR | MARC JACOBS MASCARA | REVLON COLOUR STAY | SLEEK CONTOUR & HIGHLIGHT KIT | NAKED 1 | COLLECTION EYE LINER

I'm not one for trying different make up. Before I use to always buy anything and everything any blogger raved about. However I've calmed myself down, I always seem to find what I like, and what works and well just stick to it. These products are just a few of my favourites.

ESTEE LAUDER DOUBLE WEAR - I'm forever being asked what foundation I use and well of course it's double wear. Every since I brought Double wear I've not wanted to be without it. If you're after a high coverage, skin perfecting foundation this is the one for you. Although I will say the faults it has is that it is very pricey (I usually buy it from feelunique.com) or wherever has it on sale. And also it doesn't come with a pump! ah the biggest pain ever!

MARC JACOBS MASCARA - I've forever wanted a piece from Marc Jacobs make up collection. So when I went to the U.S I had to treat myself. I am completely obsessed with this mascara. It's perfect for the super pumped up look I always go for.

REVLON COLOUR STAY - not really a go to, but something I've opted for recently after I accidentally ordered the wrong shade in my double wear. Meaning I looked a little orange. So I opted for this Ivory shade from Revlon for the perfect shade combined with both foundations. I also been wearing the Revlon foundation on my lazy days and it really is a close contender with the double wear.

SLEEK CONTOUR KIT - contouring is life, but if you need a quick fix and are pale like me this is the perfect kit to give you the ultimate glow and highlight.

COLLECTION EYELINER - If you've been wearing make for a good few years you will of brought this eyeliner at some point. It's a classic and no matter how many different products I try nothing will beat collection.

IRON MAIDEN ON LEATHER.

20/02/2017

DRESS - PRIMARK | JACKET - H&M | IRON MAIDEN - VINTAGE | SUNGLASSES - QUAY | BOOTS - PRIMARK
This was one of them throw on and bang it actually looks good outfits! I'm really feeling the thigh highs at the minute as I feel like you can really take them into any outfit. I also forgot I had this dress after I posted my burgundy version on Depop for sale. (@unwrittenhollywoodx) I've had a nice three day weekend and I definitely needed it. I feel so much more motivated with my blog, not too sure about going back to work though.

WHY I'M EMBRACING MY STYLE AND YOURS.

18/02/2017

These days theres so much judgement in every aspect of our lives. From if you made the right decision at work, do you really need that meal large? how is she wearing them shoes? It's pretty sad really when you think about all the negative responses and attitudes we all face on a daily basis. For me I'm so done with worrying If I'll get looked up and down because I'm wearing a bright green bomber. Style is the one thing we can really express ourselves with no matter how talented you are. Clothing and the styling of any outfit really can speak a thousand words. For so long now I've struggled to walk out the front door in a outfit I love just because I've been scared of the judgemental faces and opinions that usually come ahead. Why is it seen as so negative to look difference. Embrace your weirdness, and love your imperfections. So it's time to embrace everything we have about ourselves! If I have a cute outfit with a bit of skin, girl I'm walking out that front work with pride and a little bit of sass. It's time for us all to embrace each other and be kind. On that note here's a few of my favourite fashion confidence quotes I hope inspire you to not really give a fuck-

‘Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world.’ – Marilyn

‘In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.’ – Coco Chanel

‘I like being a woman, even in a man’s world. After all, men can’t wear dresses, but we can wear the pants.’ – Whitney Houston

‘Girls do not dress for boys. They dress for themselves and, of course, each other. If girls dressed for boys they’d just walk around naked at all times.’ – Betsey Johnson

VALENTINES DAY OUTFIT

14/02/2017

DRESS - H&M (MENS TOP) | JACKET - RIVERISLAND | BOOTS - MISSGUIDED
Happy Valentines day! whether you're celebrating it with your partner, or with your girls/guys. It's my first Valentines actually in a relationship so I'm feeling very loved up like a puppy. However I fully support the "love yourself" kinda day. I put this look together purely because I know I'm so crap at wearing colour recently.

PUT YOUR BEST DRESS ON.

10/02/2017

JACKET - H&M | JEANS - RIVERISLAND | TIGHTS - EBAY | DRESS - H&M

you really can't beat edging up a simple dress by styling it with some jeans or snazzy tights. For me recently it's become all about the dress top's. A dress like this which of course is very jazzy and  the ultimate dress for a cocktail night with the girls I took it into my day time look by styling it along with my ripped black denim, and a classic staple piece the leather jacket.
It's amazing how many occasions and styles of dresses there are available and how far they've come since back in the day. Of course the first opportunity we all go through when it comes to picking the ultimate dress is of course our Prom Dress. Theres so many styles and colours for Prom Dresses, it really makes us girls go insane at a young age. Then it's likely we then go onto Bridesmaid Dresses. This can be a hard one because we ideally can't choose what we wear, but we can give a helping hand on the Bridesmaid Section. There is so many occasions that really do revolve around the dress, such as Communion Dresses, wedding dresses, baby shower dresses, let's face it girls we need a dress for every occasion.
