WHY I'M OVER SEEING DICK PICS.

I think the best part about dating is the long texts, staying up way past your bed time because you just can't stop replying to them. The butterflies begin and the little smirk every time their name appears is suddenly a permeant facial expression. The texts are long, full of random crap, because that initial connection the spark is flowing and you just end up chatting about everything from whether you're a brown or white bread lover. But we all know far too well that bread chat late at night doesn't last long until you fall down the dick pic hole.

Lad's are predictable. They can be right gentleman, not really care for sex, then as soon as you give them the slightest dirty comment, that's it the paragraph is now the full details of everything he is planning to do to you. Now don't get me wrong, I love a cheeky sext from time to time to know I'm wanted and this person likes me and is very much sexually attracted to me. When you're single you will find your confidence up and down like a yo-yo. So the odd text with sexual needs from the guy you're talking to can sometimes become a favour.

When I was younger it was great to see new dick every week. Being sent a dick pic then showing your mates and having a good giggle was a highlight of mine. But as I've grown older I don't need to see the dick. Of course the goods are important when it comes to starting a new relationship. But for me I've found myself feeling awkward knowing I'm going on a date with a guy and I've got a picture of his dick on my phone. I guess I've become old fashioned and would be quite happy to have a surprise for when we first do the deed to what the dick holds in store. Recently being sent a dick pic/video has been a real off put for me. I feel like it's one of them things where "okay thanks I've seen it now I don't need another angle, to sway me. But also they just aren't very attractive. Like who has every gotten a pic and thought "oh thats a good looking dick" I think this shows how much dating has changed to the point it's more about sex than finding someone to be happy with and build a life with.

I wanted to discuss this because recently this has become a issue with me finding someone or even allowing myself to go on a date. I just get so put off lads when they constantly want to discuss sex. Don't tell me you want a relationship, and to find someone to go explore with. If it's just sex you're after don't fill me with bullshit. I'm not boring and don't sext, I'm happy to sext, it's a way of flirting but I feel like some lads will then forget about getting to know all the little things about you, and every conversation can turn into a chat about him wanting to grab your ass. Now I'm older I've realised not every dick and harry is going to be good for me. There's going to be people out there who will waste my time. For me constant dick pics, and constant filth is a big sign to me it's not their true intentions to build up a relationship with me. Of course this isn't the intentions of all lads. I mean we all know lads can be like dogs on heat so sometimes they can't help it. But I guess I've learnt from my one too many dick pics that it's sometime a huge sign before you've even gone on a date with them. While I see this I also think this is the result of my past relationships making me question the intentions and if they'd get bored of me and start sending dick pics to other girls. or how many girls did you send that snap to? My advise to anyone newly single is always be careful what you say, what you also send back. I'm not totally against receiving a pic.

Personally I've asked a few lads' and I think the lads have preferred this. There's nothing more cringe than them lads that send a dick pic out of the blue on snapchat. *block* But basically a dick selfie will not make me like a lad anymore. If you've got banter and we can have a solid good chat I'm all yours.
